A need has been defined for further education on the use of monovalent and combination vaccines in the pediatric and adolescent patient population. By discussing immunization schedules and identifying barriers to completing immunization schedules; distinguishing the differences between current and emerging monovalent and combination vaccines; and explaining the benefi ts and risks of combination vaccines to parents of pediatric and adolescent patients, health care professional can apply this knowledge to offer better patient care and improve patient results.
